LIL WAYNE: TRUKFIT T-SHIRT DESIGNER

Taking notes from other Hip Hop artists/entrepreneurs, Lil Wayne has now started up his own fashion label. While he won't be showing in Milan this weekend the rapper will start us off with a range of t-shirts under the brand Trukfit which he presented on Thursday.

Pajama swag they're calling it because 'everybody's into suits right now" says Marisa Flores, Wayne's stylist, that it's all about being comfortable. Perhaps we don't share the same relaxed sentiments of rolling out of bed and chucking on a good tee. The event had models painted silver and dressed in cargo shorts and socks pulled up and saw the likes of Russell Simmons showing up for support.

Trukfit is an acronym for “The Reason You Kill For It". Thoughts?

BLAIR UNDERWOOD RELEASES MENS SUITING COLLECTION

Celebrities really do like to branch out so it is not much of a surprise that Blair Underwood (Dirty, Sexy, Money and New Adventures of Old Christine) has decided to do the same. Thankfully it wasn't another fragrance venture because I think we have enough right now.

Underwood has partnered with K&G to release a range of mens suiting called the BU collection (hmmm). They promise a premier line of tailored suits inspired by the actor. Which I imagine means he didn't have a lot of influence in the designing of the garments, but who knows. He decided to join K&G for this venture to offer men good quality suiting at an affordable price point so can you really blame the guy?

TOM FORD IS GOING TO BE IN THE NEW JAMES BOND, ON DANIEL CRAIG

No treats for guessing why James Bond turned to the master of modern suiting, Tom Ford for his sartorial needs. Especially since it went down so well in the Quantum of Solace. With the announcement of Craig's latest Bond-age (wait, thats not right) in Skyfall, he donned a 2 piece notch lapel suit with grey French cuff, obviously all from Ford's menswear collection. In fashion it's clear in movies Ford is our Bond man.

JAMES FRANCO IS V MANS MAN OF THE DECADE...SO FAR

The fact that I receive a flood of hits any time I mention James Franco makes the following cover no surprise. Man of the Decade? That's quite a statement, but okay then. He has had a rather successful run lately. The cover was shot by Inez can Lamsweerde and Vinhoodh Matadin for the Decade issue which collaborated with, among others, Karl Lagerfeld and Terry Richardson as they look at 150 years of men's style.

BARTON PEREIRA FEATURING GIOVANNI RIBISI

If I were to be an actor I would hope for a career like Giovanni Ribisi's. With looks that don't match his name it has been interesting to watch him evolve over the years. Pretty boy actors only get so many types of roles so it tasks actors like Ribisi to handle the cool roles. And his cool is so effortless.

Catch this video of the actor as he motors around looking chic and slick for Barton Pereira, in his own Ribisi shades, no less. The video was shot by Keith Musil in a ship crate yard.

TINTIN STAR JAMIE BELL COVERS VOGUE HOMME INTL.

Billy Elliot Jamie Bell covers the latest Vogue Homme International. The 25 year old actor has a big year ahead of him which includes the massively anticipated Tintin movie by Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg. I used to read Tintin as a young boy and as an adult I'm still fascinated by his hair.

The talented Mr. Bell has been dating an equally talented young actress Evan Rachel Wood, who I think is very underrated. They make a cute couple anyway. Take a look at three more magazine scans below.

TAYLOR LAUTNER FOR GQ AUSTRALIA

This shoot featuring Taylor Lautner could not go un-blogged. Old-worldly and so chic it looks like it stepped out of Mad Men. This is where fashion is going. You can thank GQ Australia for this one. Photographer David Slijper and Wayne Gross get my nod of approval. So clean cut! It's no wonder this boy is going places, the camera likes him.

BURBERRY BOYS FOR SEPTEMBER

Among the many, many celebrities spotted this September in Burberry suiting, it was none other than my personal favorite, Ryan Gosling who stood out. He recently dropped by Conan O'Brien and the Jay Leno Show in Los Angeles, marking the second appearance in that unbelievable blue suit. Or how about a sharp grey windowpane? Either choice works for me and it's because of this that Ryan got himself recognized and taken seriously both in style and in movies. Did you watch him in Blue Valentine? Yowza.

Also spotted in Burberry, this time at the GQ Men of the Year awards 2011, Mario Testino and Douglas Booth opted for black tuxedos (how do you like Booth's silk tie version?). I quite liked Tom Hardy's version of formal which had him swopping a blazer with a shorter cut trench coat and keeping it all black. Fashionable and yet masculine. What do you think of our Burberry boys?

TOM FELTON AND RUPERT GRIND STAR IN BAND OF OUTSIDERS CAMPAIGN 2011

Harry Potter is all over but the boys are still getting work. Here Rupert Grind and co-star Tom Felton are followed around by Scott Sternberg and his vintage Polaroid camera (note: not an iPhone app).  Previous celebs enlisted for this sort of campaign have been Kirsten Dunst and Andrew Garfield plus many more. This Band of Outsiders 2011 campaign reunites the open bromance between the ex-colleagues/wizards. I enjoy this take on campaigns. No photoshop or emaciated models, just fun, simple clothing and a campaign to match. Good work.

KELLAN LUTZ FOR GQSTYLE AUSTRALIA

I read two of those Twilight books and lost interest. Then I watched the Twilight movies and while they are sometimes a little too sweet on the tooth to watch they served their greater purpose. The problem I had with the movies was the unfortunate styling and hair and make-up. Why they didn't just leave Kellan's hair dark blonde is beyond me. They were all supposed to look beautiful, not like Lil' Kim and her authentic hair and eye-colour.

In the newest issue of GQ Style Australia he fronts yet another cover in body bearing gear. Namely that denim shirt on white jeans look. The set was shot by photographer Robbie Fimmano and you can read the accompanying interview here by David Hochman. There is a whole set of photos after the jump so take a look.

TAYLOR LAUTNER IS THE NEW VMAN COVER MODEL

Taylor Lautner serves as the latest V MAN cover model for The Archetypes Issue. He joins the winners of the previously announced VMAN Ford Model Search winners, Clark Cord and Matthew Terry. The cover was shot by Steven Klein and styled by Nicola Formichetti. This month sees a new generation of action hero as Lautner appears in "Abduction" on the 23rd. This is also the 23rd issue for VMAN.

JARED LETO FOR BLAST MAGAZINE

I personally prefer Jared Leto The Actor to The Singer, but I respect that he did all he wanted to with one profession before changing artistic direction and putting his energy into music. He is obviously talented, there is no denying that even if I don't own any of his music.

For Paris based Blast Magazine, Jared Leto features in the expected attire of a rocker styled by Nick Galleti and brought to you by Aline and Jacqueline Tappia. Take a look below.

Also in Leto news the October release of Hugo Boss' latest fragrant endeavor 'Just different' which features a sharp and clean looking Jared Leto in the typical Boss format.  He hasn't been in a movie in two years but now the triple threat can add model/spokesman to his CV. You can also catch the Inception-esque commercial for the new fragrance below.

DAVID BECKHAM AND H&M COLLABORATE ON UNDERWEAR RANGE

Proud new papa of Harper Seven, David Beckham is said to add another venture to his list of achievements. While a fashion collaboration would make perfect sense to encapsulate his style (he is after all one of the best dressed celebrities in the world) he is going another route. In February 2012 David will join celebrities like Kate Moss and Madonna  to collaborate with a large design chain with his own range of H&M, but Beckham will focus on underwear. He is after all famous for those near-naked ads for Armani so the collaboration makes perfect sense.

The Guardian spoke to Simon Fuller, Beckham's business partner, who was also behind the successful launch of Victoria Beckham's fashion label, said the collaboration was an important step for the footballer. "H&M's enthusiasm and support for this venture, combined with their scale and reach, will continue to enhance the power of David's image around the world."

Would you buy your jocks from Becks?

TOBEY MAGUIRE FOR PRADA FALL/WINTER 2011/2012 CAMPAIGN

A surprising model indeed. Prada, for their Fall/Winter 2011/2012 campaign have enlisted Tobey Maguire as their latest spider-spokesman. It does make perfect sense actually. Tobey Maguire has the ageless features that many of the big models of today have. Shot by David Sims. A nice change, I say. What do you think of this?
